Skinfood Good Afternoon BB Cream Line

I think this might have been up for a couple of weeks already and I am just slow noticing, so this might not be real news, but I am thrilled about this nevertheless:

There is a new BB Cream line by Skinfood, the Skinfood Good Afternoon BB Cream line!

The new line contains 5 new BB Creams, coming in two shades each: No.1 Light Beige and No.2 Natural Beige. All of them come in 30g tubes.

Skinfood Good Afternoon Berry Berry Tea BB Cream
Anti-Wrinkle: This BB Cream is a wrinkle-smoothing and concealing anti-age BB cream that smooths fine lines and dents while evening out skin tones with anti-aging superfood acai berry and raspberry. With SPF 35 PA++.

Skinfood Good Afternoon Apple Cinnamon Tea BB Cream
Whitening: This BB Cream is a brightening BB Cream that re-illuminates skin with apple extract and detoxifies impurities with cinnamon, promoting a more even and brighter skin tone. With SPF 36 PA++.

Skinfood Good Afternoon Rose Lemon Tea BB Cream
Hydrating: This BB Cream is a hydrating and fitting BB cream that revitalizes and hydrates skin with aromatic rose and refreshing lemon extracts. Immediately releases water drops to transform skin into a soft, supple texture. With 20 PA+.

Skinfood Good Afternoon Peach Green Tea BB Cream
Oil-Controlling: This BB Cream is an oil-controlling and skin-mattifying BB cream that keeps skin fresh and matte with vitamin-enriched peach extract and sebum-regulating green tea. With 20 PA+.

Skinfood Good Afternoon Honey Black Tea BB Cream
Moisturizing & Glowing: This is a moisturizing and illuminating BB cream with sweet honey and flavorful red tea that keeps skin soft and supple. With 20 PA+.

It looks like Skinfood really made one for every skintype and I am already eying with the Good Afternoon Peach Green Tea BB Cream, which is most suited for my very oily skin. I really like my Skinfood Red Bean BB Cream, but it is too oily for me.
Right now I still have a huge stock of BB Creams and I can't buy any new ones  since they last quite long and have an expiry date before which I would like to use them up.

So, if you plan to purchase any of these and write a review about them, please let me know. I am really curious about this new Skinfood BB Cream line!

  1. I want skinfood good afternoon peach green tea too so badly. But I've just bought skinfood's aloe bb cream last month. Bad time!

  2. Ooooh, I want to try the Berry Berry Tea, Rose Lemon Tea, and Honey Black Tea ones. They sound lovely! But I've also got some bb creams and other foundations to use up first.

  3. I've never tried something from Skin Food but their cute packages make want to try them!

  4. I bought the lemon rose tea one in shade 2. The packaging is super cute but 30g is not a lot at all so it's quite pricey for what you get. I found shade 2 still very very light, NC25/NC20 in MAC shade at best. When it first goes on it's a bit pale/ashy but then it settles and it is very nice. Not a lot of coverage though, I know it's meant to be natural and like skin but I had hoped for a bit more coverage! I'm keen to try the honey one and the berry berry. I think the actual colours differ between each one so I think the honey one might be a bit darker.

  5. Thanks for the info!
I think 30ml is quite enough. Since I always have multiple BB Cream tubes open at once I don't manage to use the big 40-45ml ones up before I have to throw them away, so 30ml is fine for me.

Coverage-wise, do you have any BB cream you could compare this to? Because I have been quite content with the minimum coverage of Skinfood BB creams I tried so far (Red Bean and Aloe Sun). I don't like BB Creams with heavy coverage like Missha BB Creams, because they give me the same feeling foundations do.

  6. It's not 30ml, it's 30g including the packaging (like a cool person I weighed it lol) so the content is less. I thought it was a bit weird they did g instead of ml, I compared it to my 30ml tube of foundation and there's substantially less amount. Having said that, you need very very little to go a long way, so I don't mind too much.

Sadly this was my first bb cream I bought (I'm in the UK and bb creams haven't hit here so I'm net ordering!) but it is the lightest coverage I've encountered even in comparison to my tinted moisturisers. The texture of the finish reminds me of watercolour paints, although it's very sheer, it does create that "nice skin" finish. It's not masky like foundations, I often forget I have it on, I think if you like light coverage you'll like this. I think I just need a bit more for my blemishes. The staying power is good too, still had some on after a sweaty gym session! I should add, the shade is quite pinky, I'm an NC but actually best suited to mac NWs :)

I write reviews on makeupalley.com, other users might have put up a coverage comparison so it's worth a check, although I suspect the product might be too new to have many reviews.

  7. The Skinfood package is really cute just like a tea packs. And it's cheap, I want to try the Good Afternoon Peach Green Tea BB Cream coz I have an oily skin too!

  8. Some people say that the Peach teas' oil control is horrible. My face is crazy oily and dry sometimes. I bought it and the oil control worked great, I only blot my nose through out the day and it makes your skin look perfect after applying finishing powder.
